New friends arriving for Ben’s re-ride event at the Rolé Equestrian Centre in Brakwater

The Rolé Equestrian Centre is a tranquil horse retreat at Brakwater, a rural settlement of plots and smallholdings close to Windhoek. The centre offers stabling and horse training, as well as safe hacking/leisurely trails, and is a popular venue for national horse shows. This was the venue for Ben’s inspiring pre-ride event.

The Namibian families along Ben’s route, who had worked together day and night to look after him and his borrowed horses, organised the pre-ride braai/barbeque. This gave Ben the opportunity to meet with them – many for the first time, to thank them and to discuss his objectives and adventures along the way.
